In 2008, Jacqueline founded a Catholic healing retreat ministry called “Grace that Reigns.” Its formation began in 2011 while she was in Dublin, Ireland, having been invited by Fr. Kevin Scallon C.M to attend their annual intercession for priests.
Having studied Evangelization and Ministry at The Augustine Institute's Master's Degree program in Denver, Colorado, Ms. Loh is thoroughly educated in Catholic teaching. She has been certified as a spiritual director and life coach for over fifteen years, specializing in bringing personal healing and clarity to the lives of individuals with whom she works. She is particularly attracted to the charisms of healing, prophecy, and discernment and their applications in groups she speaks to and for individuals she counsels.
Ms. Loh's book, When Monday Comes, guides retreat participants to understand God's love through prayer, action, and practical methods of discernment.
Jacqueline Loh's Retreat Topics:
1. Jacqueline Loh: Testimonial - Conversion – Faith Story
The beginning of her faith journey was a tug-of-war. Growing up in a strict Catholic household did not give her an accurate understanding of the fullness of God's love. As an adolescent, she was attracted to everything the world offered.
What transformed her was an extraordinary experience of the presence of God in a white-painted, brick-walled room in an old boy's reformatory at the age of 14. Those few minutes changed her life and gave her a new understanding of God's reality and indescribable love for her through the Holy Trinity. Suddenly, her Catholic faith didn't seem so "beige" anymore. God was real.
She returned to a tug-of-war with God in her 20s and 30s, a period in which He repeatedly made Himself real to her. Eventually, she went to graduate school and worked as a successful planner/landscape architect and interior designer. At a critical junction, God called her again and asked, "Do you want to sacrifice radically for the sake of a higher good?" He offered her the choice of a lifetime.
Join Jacqueline as she shares how God revealed Himself to her. As you listen to her life story, you will be convinced that you are loved and that God sees you as His pearl of great price.
2. Renewing Your Sense of Wonder: God's Love is Fundamental to Prayer.
God sees each of us as unique and priceless. God loves us and shows us our worth through the people, places, and experiences we encounter. Sometimes, it isn't easy to feel worthy of love: we can even lose faith in the truth that God loves us.
If you lack the knowledge of God's love for you, you will miss much of your life's value. Jacqueline will help you identify and break down the obstacles that prevent you from seeing the wonders of yourself and God in your life. You are a wonder! You are an unfolding story, a story far from finished and with a host of curious witnesses.
Join Jacqueline as she begins with a story of wonder and demystifies some unhealthy beliefs that many have been taught in one's formative years.
3. Discernment: Is There Something That You’ve Missed? Confidently Discern What God Has in Store for You.
Did you know that the average American moves more than 11 times in their lifetime? People are always looking for opportunities. Whether upsizing, downsizing, changing jobs, changing neighborhoods, getting married, or retiring, moving reflects our journey to what we think the direction of our life should take.
At the same time, our physical movements mirror our interior lives as we pose the following questions: What am I doing in my life? Is this the right job for me? Am I making the right decision? Am I wasting my time? What is my life's purpose?
God wants to work with your talents, desires, and interests to find the good and elevate it to the next level. Did you ever wonder what God is communicating to you? How do you understand it clearly?
Jacqueline shows participants how to discern their journey using ordinary senses to gather clues in this retreat. With these clues, they can understand the movement of the spirit within their heart's desires and then incorporate those motivations into discerning God's will for their lives.
4. Suffering, Grace, and God’s Healing Touch. How Do We Navigate it?
Many fear suffering, struggle, and pain; these experiences cause us all anxiety. Suffering is part of human existence. When seen in the light of faith, it has immense value; it draws us closer to God as we ask for His mercy and healing hand. Suffering, particularly through illness, helps us be grateful for what we have and become more patient. It forces us to become introspective and draw closer to God, and trust in the prayers that our family and friends will say for us.
In this retreat, Jacqueline offers thoughtful reflections about the Anointing of the Sick, the ways people receive healing, and the differences between physical, mental, and spiritual healing, the influence of the devil in our healing journey, and examples of reassuring prayers we can pray to make our journey of suffering easier are presented during this program.
Jacqueline's program shares testimonies of God's healing touch, explains the beauty of asking for and receiving mercy, and helps participants understand God's will for them during suffering.
5. Spread the Seed: Discipleship. Know When and How to Share Your Extraordinary Stories of Faith.
If you are in awe and wonder at what God has done for you, how do you explain it to others? Learn how to tell your testimony or conversion story.
One of the most important and exciting areas of your faith is the ability and opportunity to share your own story. Sharing testimonies is especially powerful when you have experienced a profound conversion or if God has healed you miraculously.
Often people find reasons for their reluctance to share. However, willingness to share promotes community, curiosity, thanksgiving, and healing. Not to mention, it gives glory to our loving God.
At this retreat, Jacqueline will join you to share testimonies from people she has ministered to. She will describe the spiritual effects of sharing your story and offer three takeaways for you to prepare your own testimony. You will learn that sharing your faith testimony is much more exciting than you had expected, and be excited to share your own story with others.
